Glass Manufacturing
Inert graphite components for glass melting, fibre drawing and specialty glass forming.
Graphite solutions for Glass Manufacturing
Graphite's non-wetting behaviour with molten glass, combined with its thermal stability up to 1650°C and machinability to tight tolerances, makes it the preferred material for glass fibre drawing bushings, plungers, feeder components, and forming tools. Unlike metals, graphite does not contaminate the glass melt and requires no lubricant.
Expo supplies precision-machined graphite components for E-glass, borosilicate, and specialty glass manufacturing — including bushing blanks, plunger assemblies, tweel plates, and annealing lehr rollers — with anti-oxidation coating available for extended service life.
