What Is Flexible Graphite Foil?
Flexible graphite foil is made by chemically treating natural graphite flake to form a graphite intercalation compound, then rapidly heating the treated flake so it expands many times its original volume into a low-density, worm-like form of expanded graphite. The expanded graphite is then compressed and calendered, without any binder or adhesive, into a continuous roll of thin, flexible sheet.
