Introduction
Carbon fiber insulation boards are the primary thermal barrier in modern vacuum furnace hot zones. Improper design of the insulation package is responsible for over 40% of heat-up inefficiency and most premature board failures. Panel Geometry & Sizing
- Board thickness: 25โ100 mm depending on operating temperature and target outer shell temperature
- Panel count minimisation reduces joint count and heat leakage
- Preferred aspect ratio: length:width โค 3:1 to prevent warping
- Minimum overlap at joints: 50 mm (tongue-and-groove preferred)

Replacement Intervals
